Important Factors Before Update QuickBooks Company File
Below we have mentioned some of the major factors that you must take into consideration before Update QuickBooks Company File
-
Only the Admin user can Update QuickBooks Company File

Please ask your QuickBooks administrator to update the file,” appears on your screen, then it signifies that you are not signed in to your data file as the Admin user.
-
Do not update over a network
Make sure that the company data file that you want to upgrade is stored on the same computer that you are using to update it. Thus, you might need to copy the file from another computer, and then copy it back after you finish updating it.
-
After updating your data file, it will not open in previous versions of QuickBooks
Before updating your file, QuickBooks automatically backs up your company data, so that you can revert to the older version whenever required.
-
Enterprise data files only work in Enterprise editions of QuickBooks
One must know that, you cannot convert QuickBooks Enterprise data to QuickBooks Pro, or Premier. You can convert a Pro or Premier file to QuickBooks Enterprise, but the company file will not open in Pro or Premier after you convert it.
