Starting an eBay store might seem like an easy way to sell your items, but you’ll quickly learn the hard way that there’s more to running an eBay business than just listing things on the site and hoping they sell. From managing your inventory to tracking sales and performance, managing your eBay store can be difficult if you do it all on your own.
How do I setup my account?
- Log in to your account on the eBay site. 2. Click on Selling and then Store under the Selling on eBay heading. 3. Click the green button that says, Create a new store. 4. Create your store name, description and upload a logo or banner image if you wish 5. Choose which categories your items will be sold in 6. Enter your business contact information 7.
My seller account doesn’t look like it should. What gives?
If you’ve been selling on eBay for a while and all of a sudden your seller account doesn’t look the same, you may be missing some information. To find out what changed, go to My eBay > Selling Preferences and click Edit. It will show you what was removed or added. If it looks like something important was taken away, contact us.
When are you charged?
We charge when your store is open and you generate revenue. We use a sliding scale based on the amount of time your store is open each month. For example, if your store is open for two hours per week, then we’ll charge $2 per hour. If it’s open for 10 hours per week, we’ll charge $1 per hour, and so on. The more you use our services, the less you’ll pay!
How do your fees compare to what I was paying before?
eBay store management services are a great way to save on fees and get the support you need. Our fees are also lower than what you would pay if you were using a 3rd party fulfillment company like Fulfillment by Amazon or Shipwire. We can also do the same thing they do, except we offer sellers a lot more flexibility and control.
When are my earnings deposited into my bank account?
When you first sign up for a store management service, the next step is to link your account to your bank account. Once this is set up, the earnings from your store will be deposited into your account every two weeks.
How many products can I sell in an eBay store vs. selling as a PowerSeller?
The number of items you can sell in an eBay store is limited. As of this post, the limit is 20,000 items. If you are a PowerSeller and have met the minimum selling requirement (100-150 sales per month), then you can list unlimited quantities of products.
Can I have multiple stores?
Yes, you can have unlimited stores! The only limit is that you can’t have more than one store for each category on the site. For example, if you wanted to sell both new and used sports equipment, you would need two stores. One for used sports equipment and one for new sports equipment.
What about listing manager/wishlist items…etc.?
eBay’s Listing Manager lets sellers create and edit listings on the go. It also includes a wishlist and Watch list, so you can keep track of items you’re interested in buying or selling. Selling with Listing Manager is fast, easy, and free–no listing fees or commissions. Sellers can even upload product photos from their computer or mobile device!
The new eBay store management services is designed for people who are serious about starting their own business and want the tools to succeed.
